The Historical Arc — Gonzales to the Alamo

The Battle of Gonzales on October 2, 1835 fired the opening shot of the Texas Revolution. Five months later, on February 23–March 6, 1836, the Alamo fell after a 13-day siege. Of the defenders, 32 men came from Gonzales — the “Immortal 32.” Standing at the Alamo with that context makes the visit land differently. This is the same war, continued.
